These cameras were produced from 1977 – 1982, to compete with Polaroid in the instant-camera market. Polaroid promptly sued for patent infringement, was eventually awarded around $900 million, and Kodak removed their cameras from the market. More on the history of these cameras below...
The Pleaser was a “premium” camera. The original list price, according to various websites, was either $39.99, $45, or nonexistent. More than one site reports that these cameras were “promotional” models, not intended for sale to the public.
You should expect everything to function reasonably well, and that all optics have no problems that would noticeably affect image quality, unless we describe them otherwise. We try and list all pertinent faults.
