4" high x 4 1/2" long. A piece of the historic Kenyan works that have been available readily...but are disapearing with the erosion of their forests and all of the wonderful nasties laced to the exploiting of the local neighbourhoods, by the west and of course by inter-tribal fighting (backed by western money)
This is an art that is steadily going the way of the unicorn inthat it is rapidly becoming extinct, and will not be available to future generations
This is a beautiful carving of a 'lazy' meandering elephant, enjoying its vegetation. The Tusks are put in after the carving was done. Please look at the photo's. This is another beautiful piece from a skilled artisan
